You know how it gives you a little thumbnail preview for a couple image formats in Windows Explorer? Well that stopped happening for me. Now it just shows Some stupid clouds or something, instead of the preview. This has happened before, and I fixed it myself last time, but it was a complicated method and I can't remember exactly how to do it. I don't know why the problem resurfaced, but it probably has something to do with a lot of my other settings getting mysteriously reset to default.

go into a folder and go to organize > folder and search options > make sure "always show icons, never thumbnails" is unchecked.
if that doesn't work, you can delete your thumbnails cache by going to Start, Control Panel, System and Maintenance, Administrative Tools-Free up disk space, Files from all users, (C: ) OK, Files to delete:CHECK THUMBNAILS OPTION, click OK.
still not working? try going into my computer, clicking system properties along the top taskbar, then clicking advanced system settings on the left sidebar, then clicking settings under performance, and make sure that all boxes under "visual effects" are check. -
That last one worked. I only checked 1 box though. Thanks.
