I'm considering Zalman ZM-NC2000 for my P-7811FX and realized that most of the air intake vents under my laptop are located at the half upper while Zalman blows the wind most to the lower part. So after I thought about it for a while, I came up with an idea to turn the cooling pad 180 degree to match with the vents. Anyone tried this? Which is better compared to shifting the laptop down, which method will produce a better result?
    Thanks for replying.

why not just buy an NZXT Cryo LX. darn near same price as a NC2000, and works very well. i have it and i see darn good idle and load temperatures.

I'm with Diablo; get the NZXT. Amazon has them in silver & black, it looks really sharp. I found a wall-wart of proper voltage & output in my wall wart drawer, and this pup really moves some air. The fans are located perfectly beneath the CPU and GPU areas of the 7811, and now the lappy's fans come on much much less. Very pleased with the Cryo LX (with the fans turned up warm air actually comes up through the keyboard!)

    Just move to the arctic!

on a serious note, I was also looking for a cooler that blew into those cents, but to no avail, i just raised mine up and have a fan blowing underneath so there is "some" airflow.

turning the cooler 180 degrees will give you a very weird angle at which your laptop is at; moving your laptop all the way down is a better idea.

an even better idea is getting the cryo.

as a proud owner of ZM-NC1000, i think thats a strange idea.
what i did, is glued 4 rubber legs on the perimeters of the ventilated area and i place the notebook that the vent intakes are in line with ventilated holes (the unventilated part is sticking out, more than as in the picture)

it works, the whole thing runs cooler.

should work even better with an ZM-NC2000.
