    Popping noise with external Speakers P-171x fx

    When I hook up external Speakers to my headphone jack on my P-171x fx, I hear a popping noise about ounce a minute or so, has anyone had the same problem?

    No popping sounds, I have sound through Onkyo Receiver.

    Opps you meant on the P-171x.. well should be same mother board and drivers as the P-6831 FX.

    I get the exact same thing when my P-6831FX is hooked up to my external Logitech speakers. It sounds like the sound card in the laptop is picking up noise from another component.

    I have Logitech speakers too. I think it maybe the built in amp on the speakers(Z5300).
