How much watts does a P-6831FX power adapter pull? I expect any Gateway P - FX series will do.
I couldn't find it on my power adapter and I'd like to find out soon.

If your charging battery from dead up to 120 watts. I've seen, If I remember 125 watts , but I have not charged my battery in a long time.
-
Batteries are rated in Amp-hours (Ah or mAh). You can charge a car battery with a 10-watt trickle charger if you don't mind waiting
-
. I'm sure you know this but just clearing it up incase others were confused.

Well, I'm looking for a DC to AC Inverter for those long car rides.
Since it pulls 120W, would a 150W inverter be fine for those surges? On the box, it says 120W constant but it can handle up to 150W for a short amount of time. It sounds like it's enough, but should I go higher to be super safe? -
Are you going to be gaming while you go down the road?
-
Somebody contatc MTV and see if they still do "Pimp my ride". We've got a new toy for them!! -
No CoD4 or anything like that. Mostly typing and the occasional solitaire.
-
Then that inverter should be fine. If you undervolt your CPU it will use a lot less power.
I have a p-6860fx and playing Crysis only draws 80 watts with Wifi on. -
Yea, I'm at 1.2v for my highest multiplier on my T5450. Before my trip, I will explore how low mine can go safely as I haven't had the time to test out the lowest this can go.
-
On my t5550 I can go to .95. Totally stable, stress tested for 3 hours.
My laptop playing a DVD only uses 40 watts. -
Very nice! That must be a very nice chip you have, atleast a very lucky pick
I remember I couldn't even get below 1.1v before I had to RMA. Maybe they did something to this new motherboard so I could clock lower (not likely but hey...I can dream)
