Anyone find a cheap power adapter to buy that works with the 7510? I'd like to keep one at work and one at home. With the battery on this thing lasting only an hr. Its needed badly.

I find eBay to be the best place to get a matching AC adapter.

I always suggesting using a manufacturer power adapter. The universal types generally have adjustable voltage settings and whatnot, and the last thing you want to do is plug your laptop into that and accidentally kick/hit/knock/nudge/whatever that voltage setting and ruin your laptop.

Bad/dirty power is one of the biggest killers of laptops, and its one part of them that I'll never skimp on.

    Call 1-888-BestBuy

Tell them that you want a power supply for your laptop. Tell them its a Gateway and give them the model number. They will hook ya up.

Just call the "corporate" number (this is what the support guy told me it was), 801-401-1199. They answered immediately both times I called, were very polite and helpful, knew just what to do and I had my order placed right away. For the 7510GX the extra power adapter was just $75 (cheaper than most generics actually. The only weird thing was that there were really two separate orders - one for the cord and one for the transformer). I had it in just 3 days. I think you can also get batteries from that number as well. The only thing is that this number is not 24 hours, though if I recall it had fairly wide hours of coverage.
