When I was playing a game called "Psychnauts" I encountered something weird. Randomly when I played it, the laptop screen and sound would randomly shut off, and yet the laptop itself was still running. Nothing I do can make the screen turn back on, and nothing works until I reboot the laptop. This occurs every time I play the game and I do not know what is causing it.

I would like a recommendation as to what I should do.

I know this from LOTRO under Windows 7.
Prior to that GPU runs pretty hot.

    Driver?
    Cleaning the fans?
    Ingame graphic settings too high?

    These are my first steps....

    Did you OC the GPU?

I do not OC my GPU and the temperature of it is around 69C when running the game. I use a cooler under the laptop as well and the fans don't seem clogged. It sounds like the laptop screen shuts off + sound makes a shutoff sound. However the power and lights all are still on.

What are you using to check your temps? It might be the same TZ0 issue that everyone was having where it would randomly shoot up to 98degrees and freeze up the laptop.

I was using speedfan and HWmonitor to check the temperatures.
