Hey everyone.....I've had a Gateway MX 6440 laptop since July of 2006. Recently, the battery would not keep a charge, and the charger would not charge it unless it was in a very weird angle and if you moved it, the charge would lose. The computer has been acting up as well since I put windows vista on it about a year ago. So, I ended up buying a new HP laptop today for $579 at Best Buy.

Now, the Gateway seems to be charging, but you still have to keep it in a funny position, but it works more than it did before. It holds a somewhat longer charge as well. What could this have been? I'm very glad I got a new laptop since it's so much faster and has more stuff on it, but I'm wondering what may have been wrong and if I could end up selling it? Thanks!
