Hey guys, out of nowhere my headphones stop working, I get no sound. They work on other devices, so I have reason to believe the jack is busted. IDT detects headphones plugged in when its open, but does not pop up like it used to. Am I screwed because the speakers on this laptop suck. :(

Oh, I've tried reinstalling numerous drivers too...no avail

A few of us had this occur a few months back. It all of a sudden started working again and none of us could work out what caused it. Reinstalled drivers, reboots, etc etc, then bam it just started working again. Very odd. Give it a few days I say.
