    Hi guys,
yesterday i bought a Gateway 7510GX and it worked perfectly until 5 hours ago. It's become extremely slow. The windows XP gets started in maybe 2-3 minutes and even the Winamp requires at least 20 secs to load. I got the 3 year warranty. What would u suggest? Go to the best buy store and see what they could do ? I don't think that it's a hardware problem. I'm more inclined to think that it's the XP Home Edition (damn it!!!).
    10x in advance

Use the factory restore CD and if the problem still persists then get gateway support! This could be due to virus, spyware or other software related things.

Definetly run Ad-Aware and Spybot. I have heard good things about the Microsoft spyware detector.

I've run both the Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D . I was wondering, do i void the 3 year warranty if i delete the programs that came with the notebooks or if i format the hdd and install my own copy of windows XP pro.

Most places like Best Buy dont care what softwear you run on it cause they dont support softwear, only hardwear so you can do anything you want softwear wise :)

Hey before ya do anything make those recovery CDs so that you can reinstall WINXP with factory defaults if something goes wrong. I think i was going to do that.. but I just uninstalled the dumb programs that was pre installed and im about to just upgrade to XP PRO insetad of fresh install.

Tell us how it goes... (PS: I got 3 year warranty and when i first got my notebook there was something wrong with the screen(black dot, but not a dead pixel, dust or crack in screen) and i took it back, they checked it out and right there gave me a whole new one.... i wander if they will watch the naruto episodes i accidently left on it (lol I HAD to play with the laptop a bit even with a black dot).. haha GL )
