    Hello all,

    Just about to upgrade the ol' 6860fx and wanted to make sure that the processor I had in mind would be compatible. It is a t9400 penryn, which is on ebay as linked above, the link looks as if it isn't hyperlinked idk (see below). Mainly I think what needs to be noted is that it has to be p socket and 775 i think???? is this correct, and is the t9400 compatible?

    also a side question, is it worth the extra $ for the 9400 over the 9300 for the extra fsb???

    Okay prime example of why you search, then post ?'s

    I see the t9400 is not compatible while 9300 and 9500 are?? that sucks b\c there is a pretty hefty price jump there.

    Anyways anyone care to help me choose a chip please... I guess a t9300 would be a great upgrade i'll spend up to about 250 maybe a little more than that; I prefer less than 300 unless its superb performance...

    ur so funny, yes I know sorry to bring up such a lame topic. I'm just stressed to pick the right proc for the $ and make sure its compatible. Thx for the feedback found a t9300 on ebay for $250, hope it works (says tested)... we shall see
