I'm just curious as to the gains in better airflow and temperatures people have had from propping up the rear of this laptop. I've been getting the 98C tzs0 problem and will be trying to elevate the laptop soon. Also, would it be better to only prop up the rear of the laptop, or to prop up all four corners of the laptop to elevate it an inch or so. I've read of people using vinyl bumpers, lego, dvd cases to prop up their laptops and I'm leaning towards the bumpers, but I'm not sure on placement for best results. If anyone has any experience, it'd be appreciated if you'd share.

Propping the whol thing would be ideal, but most people dont want the front (read as keyboard) an extra inch higher up.

BUt i recommend the vinyl/rubber bumpers as they are a bit nicer and permenant

I think I'll end up trying the bumpers in the rear only. Any placement suggestions?Corners?Middle?

I would say the back as far towards the outside as you can get with out interfering with the air vents

Heck right beside the battery should be pretty good (the notebook is pretty stable there due to the shape of the plastic)

I just propped it up with an old hardcover book to test, making sure not to block any fans, and it lowered max gpu temp when running 3dmark06 by around 7C. Oddly enough, my CPU idled at 15C now when ambient temp in the room is 22C, heh. That's without undervolting the CPU too.
