Well, lately, not really before, on my screen viewing pictures, not all pictures like ones I take from good resolution camera and ones I make from photoshop, just regular images and not during gameplay either. I see ittle green dots or lines on the bright colors of some applications and was just wondering if anyone had a clue? I know it cant be my video card because it play movies, music videos, and games well. My counter strike is always at 100.00 FPS and doesnt or hasnt messed up and I havent really of had a real issue with the thing at all, was just wondering if anyone had a clue, and sometimes these lines or dots appear at the top of the windows of applications or my web browser near the close, minimize, and maximize buttons, if anyone has any suggestions or just say to ignore me let me know, thnx...( It's like the more harder colored displays like pure colors nothing wrong, only with the more pale colors or lower resolution colors.) Look at the picture below, notice the green lines??? This is a pic I took with camera phone after viewing a recording I did on Counter Strike using Fraps, the ground of the game, a first player game, when I looked down was normal, but when viewing it, it made those green lines. Same thing with some parts of pictures, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know, I really dont feel like taking this back to best buy to be checked, last time it took me a month and a half to get another computer... ( P.S. I'm sorry if the picture is too big, I tried to reduce it, but I figured looking at the picture first hand would be a lot easier to decide...)

Hey Mantis could it be possible that you have some dead pixels?

I'm not understanding what the problem is. Are you seeing a rendering artifact on applications when viewing low resolution (camera phone) pictures? The only thing with that picture that I see wrong is one white pixel on the top..

if u look at the picture im pointing out the green spots on the picture, right below the black space, were the brown area is, they dont show during gameplay but when viewing things like movies or pictures and such, or when I'm web browsing, those are lines on my screen that appear for some reason... Not all the time and not everywhere, just trying to figure out why, could it be my video card?

mantis, try unloading the omega drivers and using ati catalyst 5.7 (an older but very stable version). If the problem continues then we know its not the driver. Also, post a downloadable link to the picture you're looking at. This way we can all see the picture as it is supposed to be seen on all of our laptops. If we all get this green stuff that you are talking about then it could be because of the stage that lcd technology is at right now, or just the way the picture is taken.

Also try one of those programs that tests for dead pixels - it pretty much just shows the screen various colors and it's easy to see wether or not you have dead pixels.

Yeah, get rid of the Omega drivers, you may be having rendering issues. You can get the latest Mobility Catalyst drivers from DriverHeaven - I havent had any issues with the 5.9 or 5.10.

well I let my computer rest a;; night and it seems only when the screen is on for I giess 15 or 20 minutes, these liones appear when the screen starts heating up at the bottom of it or something, when playing a game, everything is fine, so I know it's not dead pixels, it's when viewing pictures and movies and such. So, if it starts up, Im taking my comp to best buy for another MX7515, I purchasedmy comp on 13th, and Best buy gives you up to the first 14 days to return, so I have 3 days left for a replacement for a whole other computer. By the way it wasn't the Omega Driver, I did a system recovery last night and right now have no programs at all lol, its like brand new again and it was still doing the same thing with origional driver.

yes now they look so sexy man lol. I love the image now, everything clean, clear and crisp. My other one must of had a major defect. Not the colors are like someone just invented a camera with 10.0 Mega Pixels and send me the picture lol.
