So I recently bought this laptop for my mom.

Keep in mind that she only surfs the web, watches video, e-mails and uses the webcam. I personally thought it was the best performance for the price. Price was actually cheap enough for me to doubt if there was a well known problem. So if anyone knows any issues with this laptop I should look at once it arrives, please do give me some information on it. I tried searching for this laptop on the forum but none existed. Thanks!

I think your doing great if you can get your mom on newer technology. Mine is scared to death of change and still has a pentium 4 desktop w/ 1.5megs of ram and XP Pro. Its slow as dirt. I try to tell her we can upgrade it, but all I hear is," I know where everything is on it." She has post it notes stuck all around the screen with little helpful advice, passwords, etc.. I laugh everytime I see it.

As far as the NV7921u, I am looking at something like this to replace the MX6920 I have now. I would like the i5 chip and the Blu ray drive. I think is a great bang for the buck. :) Of course I missed out on the deal of the year when in January the NV5927U was being sold for $499. Bummer.

Lol, my mom was actually the opposite. She wanted the newer technology to keep up with the society. That's why she wanted a laptop with an "i" processor. I looked everywhere for a 17 inch screen with an i processor and this seems to be the best deal! Thanks for the quick reply. :D
