    Question about doing Clean Windows Install on Gateway P-6860 Fx

    Hi, I just purchased one of these laptops at BB, and want to do a Clean Install to remove all of the bloatware.
    I noticed that the computer came with a OS Disc for Vista Home Premium 64bit/32bit.
    I'll probably just use the 64bit version since from what little I read, the Hardware drivers seem to be more compatible for that.
    This Laptop will mainly be used for Gaming, so no fancy software will be installed.
    I was just wondering, where can I get the drivers for this machine?

    There is a gateway recovery program which will burn the drivers to 4 CDs or a DVD.

    do 32bit software work on 64bit OS?? for example I have Nero for 32bit vista, could I install this on Vista 64bit and will it work?

    32 bit programs work with 64 bit OS. 32 bit drivers, however, do not work with 64 bit OS'
