Guys, I just want to make a warning...

The Bluetooth adapter that will work is the 2405 model which is readily available on eBay.

However, the cable is indeed the hard part, and will prolly end up with you having to make your own. As the one included with the chip from allstarsairgun and most other eBay auctions is incorrect. While it is 8pins, it is about 3mm to small.

You have to find the module and cable (used most likely) pulled from a prior Gateway model. The part number is 6008074R and it was used in the P-6381FX model.

Guys, I'd like to know if the warranty is voided by installing an internal bluetooth, because it has no seals... I am going to buy a 7805u, the guy bought at BestBuy, but he inserted an internal bluetooth, but took it off. He says it's still in the warranty...

Also, the process to install bluetooth is REALLY simple? Because the guy who I am going to buy opened the laptop twice to install and uninstall it, I am a little afraid that it didn't get build correctly, something missing, etc...

    Thanks

It's not that hard, and as long as he didn't mess anything up/leave anything out it's hard to tell it's been done. Seems really stupid to take it apart to remove a 20 dollar part, but whatever I guess. I'd use it for an hour or something before paying for it if that's an option. Just look it over carefully. Also if he bought it when it came out the warranty is just about up anyways.
