Hey guys, I just ordered a refurbished p-7805u fx and pretty excited about it. Now since this is refurbished and I never purchased a refurbished laptop before what are some things that i should look out for when i receive my laptop? Of course i will inspect for any visual damage but what are some other things that i should do to confirm that my laptop is perfect? I heard about running the stress test program for both cpu and gpu. Any updates that I should do (I.E. BIOS, GPU and ETC)? I will greatly appreciate any kind of suggestions and replies. Also when people say light leak or blacklight bleed, what are they referring to? Thank you very much!

In my opinion, you'll want to test out the battery, stress test, check the temperatures, backlight bleed, and make sure there's no loose internal parts. If you can, make sure to test out most if not all the ports to ensure they work and also may want to open up the laptop to make sure that it is clean and free of dust.

Backlight bleed is when the source light shows through the screen. Imagine a perfectly black screen. With backlight bleed, you'll see some light shining from the bottom and top of the screen.
