How long is the battery supposed to last for?

im looking at the vista power manager thing and it keeps goin up in down in time but the % is always decreasing. it seems weird.

i am light gaming by the way(maple story)

    my power plan is balanced
    and im running on battery

It's probably estimating how much time you have left based on current activity level, so it makes sense that it would fluctuate a little. I can get my 7811 to run for about 5 hours on the 9 cell battery, but that's under very light use. Maybe 3 to 4 hours for your level of use, depending on your screen brightness.

9217 is the average. Anything around 9000 is actually normal for this laptop, give or take a couple hundred. Mess around with drivers and overclock and you'll be able to gain a couple hundred points. So that score's fine.
