So I got the shaft from Gateway and Best Buy. I bought this new Gateway 3 weeks ago, and it's been working great but the other day I wake up and theres this giant (it's probably 2-3 connected) dead pixel smack in the middle of my screen. I called up Best Buy and they told me that the laptop only had a 14 day return policy, and Gateway said they would take it in, but that because it was after two weeks, there was no guarantee that they could fix it.

So now I'm looking to upgrade my LCD. I was wondering if I could swap my old Inspiron 9300 WUXGA (1920 x 1200) LCD which looked great into my GW, or if I would have to buy a different LCD. I don't really know how to know if its compatible or not, I can't check what it is on the actual Inspiron since the entire system is dead, and I was wondering if there were any good tutorials out there ( with pictures) so I could figure out how to do it. Thanks
