    Can I do a fresh OS install with the gateway DVD that came with the P171X-FX or is it like dell and after I blow away the hidden partition the CD/DVD is useless?

    I'll be setting up a 0 array, and of course want to get rid of bloat!

    The DVD is a real OEM Windows disk. It will work, just remember to make backup copies of the drivers.
