    RAID 0 on P-6301???

    I think that the title says it all. Can I get RAID-0 to work in my gateway p-6301. I do not have it yet (just ordered a cheap one from buy.com) and I have already bought the processor and ram upgrades (don't need this lappie for games so the igp was perfect--to save costs). But I do love the extra pep that RAID0 adds to a system.

    In which one poster says he has RAID-0 configured, but according to intel's spec sheets for this southbridge ICH8m:

    On pg. 55 it states that only ICH8M-E bolsters RAID config, not the base ICH8m.

    Will someone who owns one please confirm so I can checkout w/ or w/o an extra HDD?

    Read the first sticky..about 5 thousand people here running raid 0 ;)

    See if you can download the manual, sorry on the road or I would send it to you..it has full instrucions on how.

    Thanks guys-- I decided to go for the new m-151x instead of sticking with this model. 15.4 in screen ftw! haha
