Well, I gotta RMA my 172S FX. I suspect its the GPU overheating because it shuts off usually 5-10 min into doing just about anything from searching around on the internet to playing games. The only way to keep it from doing this is to have the back proped up on a double wide CD case. Everything was good and then it just started doing it one day.

I was mainly wondering if it is worth it to use the Gateway supplied materials where they send you a prepaid box with tracking and insurance for $44 plus tax?

I think its rediculous for them to make us pay for shipping when its not our fault their parts are faulty and I paid for their warrenty!

Really? This is what they sent me:
"In addition, Gateway can send you a box to use to ship your system to our Service facility. The box for your system will cost $44 + tax. This will cover the box, the packaging, insurance, and the shipping and handling fee. This is the best way to insure that your system will arrive safely at the Service Department, and we have found that this package price is less than what most packaging stores are charging for the same services. Once ordered, your box should arrive within 1 to 2 business days."

    Anyone else?
