oh, please help me. I 'm ready to have a heart attack. My Gateway laptop hard drive went bad. Bought a new one. Bought the recovery discs from Gateway. Have spent hours today installing them. seems no problem. They install it seems, it tells me to insert next disc,I do , then it says computer will restart and everything will be fine...except it keeps going to a black screen that tells me to press f11 to enter the rescue and recovery environment. Pressing f11 does nothing! I have shut it off, restarted, reinstalled and keep getting the same thing. Have now started smoking again, sitting here crying and ready to have a heart attack this is so frustrating. What has gone wrong??? I don't know the make of the Gateway because everything has worn off the stickers. Anybody know what to tell me to do???? thanks
does it matter that I bought a hitachi hard drive in a slightly different model??
