I have a p6868 and can play games just fine when the battery is jacked into the wall, but when I run it from battery alone it runs games really choppy. I have the battery set to high performance, and it looks like my 8800gts downthrottles, either that or the cpu (x9000). Is there a way to keep performance up?

either disable powermizer, or keep it plugged in.

What video driver version are you using? And did it do this with the original video driver that came with the comp?

Had the same problem. Original drivers that came with the laptop could override powermizer. I remember gaming on the battery was fine. With newest drivers when you disable powermizer in the registry performance is better but not as good as it would be with the adapter plugged in.
