I need to remove the back panel of the LCD housing from my p6860fx to check part numbers. I am not exactly sure what the panel is called but its the one with the big FX logo on it.

Anyways does anyone know of a guide for removing it, or if anyone has done it could you give me some quick pointers that will help me remove it?

    Thanks

There isnt anything in that link that talks about removing the lid of the laptop. I am talking about the panel on the backside the LCD with the big FX logo on it.

So it doesn't. I would follow the instructions on replacing the media bar, then if you take off the circular rubber stops that are around the LCD there are screws underneath those... that should get you most of the way there to removing the whole thing.
