    Hello there!
I was changing the CPU and as if you know there are 2 spirals (or springs, I don't know the actual word) at the CPU. The problem is that the last time I checked, both was gone! I actually don't know how...I was able to find 1 of it in the free HDD space, but I can't find the other one.
Because of this I would like to remove the whole back of the laptop to check inside. Can anyone please tell me how can I do this (maybe a guide?) ? Is there a way to remove the back, without removing everything else? Thank you!

Actually i'm working on it right now.

This is honestly the hardest computer to take apart i have ever seen. I've worked on it about an hour so far and i still havent managed to get the case apart yet... and i've already broken two of the little snap connectors  :(

Thumbs up m8! Looking forward for a guide when you are done :) Really annoying that it's my fault that the spiral got inside the laptop...at least now I know that they are not fixed to the CPU holder...btw u have to remove keyboard, lcd display and all kind of these stuff?

I didn't have the springs on mine when I removed the heatsink. At least I hope not! I thought it was wierd, but as far as I know they weren't there.

I actually found 1 spring on mine and im assuming the other got lost in the machine or was never there to begin with . ive been checking some local hardware stores for the same spring but its going to be tough to find exact replacements for it so im not sure if im going to even worry about it at this points cause im not going to strip my machine down to the bone to get to a spring .if these machines came apart as easy as my old XPSs or other laptops i have had in the past i would do it np but after Kamin_majere`s fiasco its just not that important to me.

To be honest the spring is so small i doubt its going to do any harm and i have a feeling the reason it wont come out with a light shake or two is cause its stuck to something magnetic in the laptop so most likely it will never move around in there at all.

I was shaking it too and it had a noise, but after a while it stoped...now no matter how hard I shake it, it just wont move inside :( Maybe it got stuck to a magnet in 1 of the speakers?

I believe removal of the media plate/speakers was in the official gateway guide posted in the other thread about taking apart the FX. It's near the end.

Yes, you are right, it tells how to replace the Multimedia
Keyboard Cover, but it does not tell how to replace the speakers!
