Please could someone confirm best available 1900 x 1200 replacement LCD. Would it be the following:

    LP171WU1-TLA2 LCD panel 17.0-inch

If I got the above screen what can I expect? Can I use existing Inverter? What issues if any will I have?

    What about 1400 x 900 LCD?

My P7805u is great laptop except for my LCD. Compared to my HPDV9000 Ultra Bright View 1400 x 9000 LCD the AUO LCD sucks.

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

I think you need a P-78xx one that is 17.1-inch. But I don't have any experience with this so see what other people say.

My p7805u came with a stock WUXGA LG display. I would recommend it along with a nice CPU Upgrade.

If your stock resolution is 1440x900 and you plan to upgrade it to 1920x1200, then make sure you also buy an inverter that supports the higher resolution.

My current screen is an AUO 1900 x 1200 but I am confused as to which screen to buy or at least try to find.

Would a LG TL8 screen be an upgrade over AUO screen?
