    I heard that gateway was discontinuing the p-7811-fx, and I was wondering if they were coming out with a replacement laptop soon (under $1500) Thanks for all the help!

    Do a search for your local bestbuy. Mine still had 2 left and I got it 3 days ago for $1159, I just read someone got one yesterday for $1010

    Well, there's an idea - if you have the Best Buy warranty, instead of having to select from their meager stock of laptops for a "suitable replacement,' ask for your purchase money back to buy a 7801u.

    Too bad that makes sense, so they'd never allow it.
