Should only void the warranty regarding any hard drive problems.
That said, it would be a good idea to keep the old one in case of any warranty work as a precaution. -
As mentioned, it won't unless your notebook doesn't work because of it, then they will void it as the upgrade process resulted in the notebook not working.
However, the case as mentioned is quite rare and barely ever happens. -
