First of all, any reviews on Gateway...compared to Dell, HP or Toshiba...???

My eye caught the Platinum Edition MX6750...it's going for $1399 CAN...specs sounds right...is there any reason to hold my purchase...price/competition...what's this "Vista Ready" I've been reading when looking to buy a new computer/notebook...!!!

    Thanks

"Vista Ready" doesn't really mean anything. It just states that you can run Vista, which to my knowledge, any laptop with 512+ ram can run it. If you are shopping for a laptop that isn't highly budget, I wouldn't pay any attention to these stickers.
The Gateway that you are looking at is very nice at it's price. I don't see why to hold off on it.
I can't tell you how it compares to others. I do have a couple Toshiba's at my house, and I can't say that I like them much. I much prefer my Gateway to them.
