    SD Card Reader not working on Gateway NV77h20u

    I have a Gateway NV77h20U and when i bought it the sd card reader worked fine now i dont have the icon under my computer, i have installed the correct driver for it off my restore disks and nothing happens whats weird is when i put the card into the reader the mouse icon shows that its doing something and then it says installing driver from windows update which says usb reader-crw and tells me driver is installed and working but i cant do nothing with it so i know it isnt dead any body help me on this issue

    Running windows 7 home priemum
    core i5
    8 gig ram
    500 gb hard drive
