    Hi,

i was thinking to my self is there any way that i could improve the quality of sound in the P7805u.
I thought i would make a use of the second HDD bay to place a subwoofer speak there from a different laptop. (i dont want anyhting external)

I thought of two ways of connecting it.

    For example: http://cgi.ebay.com/Toshiba-Satelli..._trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247#ebayphotohosting

But the tricky bit is how to connect the subwoofer to the MB. Is there any way in which u could split the signal which goes to one speaker into 2 so it would also reach the subwoofer.

    OR

There are those mini usb sound cards, and the second way of of connecting (im guessing) would be to connect the subwoofer to the sound card like this one (initially chnaging the cable of the subwoofer): http://cgi.ebay.com/MINI-3D-USB-2-0...yZ108984QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem and BUT then you would need to chnage the seetings so that the speakers would play simultenously with the additional subwoofer.

Is this at all possible? Any ideas?

I think it could be possible, because somehow u connect with "one" wire 2.1 speakers to 1 green slot in the computer. But the question is how can u do it with this laptop?

In my opinion it just wouldn't be worth it. A 2" subwoofer is a bit of an oxymoron anyway. It's just impossible to get anywhere near subwoofer frequencies out of such a small speaker. I recommend spending your dosh on a really good pair of headphones or canalphones like Etymotics or custom IEMs. Alternatively get a decent pair of small external speakers like Audioengine 2s.

Agreeing with Animal... it is impractical..... how would you fit it in the laptop without more time consuming mods to the case? what about the implications of battery life? not to mention placement in order to even hear/feel the 2" woofer....... just save yourself some time and get an Audiohub.... very nice piece of tech right there..... and pretty cheap too (I saw some on amazon used for about $30 total)

Yeh u are right, i just thought i could buy the woofer as in some revirews iv read that in some laptops the woofer gives a nice thump to the sound which i would like to hear in the P7805. But the amount of work input would be too much compared to the output.

Regarding the audiohub, do any of u know how does it perform. Can u hear some bass?

An Expresscard sound card would probably be better than a USB since you only have 3 of them anyway.

I own one and I can honestly say they are pretty decent for the price... but I gotta admit I am not much of a bass person, but these speakers do nice in combination with having 3 usb ports as a hub....if you want more bass though check out animals suggestion
