why not just buy a 7805u or 7808u? the res increase going to the 7811 is cool but i dont see how it justifies paying just as much or more for it.

I have seen the ASUS at the return center a number of times while I was at Best Buy which is another reason I went with this one plus a better screen, CPU, and DDR 3 RAM!

Just get the 7805u, there's a chance that you will get the 1920x1200 screen too. I got two in a row when I traded mine in. Even if you do get the 1440x900 screen, it's still better then 1280x800.

yeah i know about it but the p-7811 its easier to find on ebay and its a little bit cheaper but if i find the p-7801u at the same price as the p-7811 i would get the p-7801u with no doubt

All the 7811 FX's being sold on ebay right now are used/refurbished. Most of the sellers of the refurbished ones state that they do not accept any returns at all. All the offers right now are auctions that go up to $900 and "buy it now" bids are around $1100. It's easier to buy the 7801u for $1150 and just not risk your money on ebay.

Gamble with a refurbished 7811 FX then since your budget restricts you.

yeah thats what i was tring to find

if i find a p-7805u or p-7801u for about 1050 i would get it because with cashback it will be around 950 and that would worth for me a lot!!!

anyways im really excited to get a laptop since i have being looking for this model over 2 months and over 1 for a laptop but im waiting to get the best deal
i still have until the end of may to get one so im always looking at it

    brunoroc,
Be patient I got my p7805 for 900.00 on CL and it has the 1920x1200 and LG screen. I have had it now for 2 months without any problem. I was given the laptop in box and with receipt. Been reading the Gateway forums and doing some of the tweaks and I just ordered this LG GBW-T10N from ebay to improve the experience. If you can wait you will get it.
