What are some of the ways I can make sure that if the notebook ever fell into the wrong hands, they wouldn't be able to access any of the information on the hard drive?

I already have a start up password set, and have a user password set with the screen saver set to have the password re-entered after 5 minutes of inactivity, but its my understanding that if the notebook was stolen, the hard drive could simply be inserted into another computer and the information accessed. (not sure if thats true or not)

So what are some ways I can help protect my data?

    Thanks in advanced,

    Jim
