I noticed the other day that there is a white blob on it while looking down at the laptop from a sky view, and I wanted to send it in a get a replacement currently I have the AUO monitor is the LG that much better and should I send it back let me know people.!

1) Blobs are air bubbles, just like when you tint a car window, push them out with a screen-friendly cloth.
2) Who looks at their computer screen from a sky view...? Lol -
lol
thats true -
Those "white spots" are the most common problems with he Gateway P-FX series notebooks. Most users don't notice them unless you look at the notebook in a weird angle. You can send it back, but I doubt Gateway will replace the actual LCD since it isn't technically broken.

don't forget weird angles AND a pitch black screen. at least for most people. try searching here for a solution. i think it was taking a cotton cloth and rubbing the affected area. worked for some.

Hey! the sky view happened on accident I got up and just happened to see it!....but doesnt something small like that bother anyone? I mean common a defect is a defect.
I spoke with Gateway technician dudes and they said they would replace the monitor if they found the problem. I dont think they will notice a small white blob from a sky view...So I guess its fine then eh? how exactly do you rub it out? I dont mean to sound nub but do I wax on or off?

Lol don't worry about something you can't see during actual use, most computer screens have something like that from the wrong angle.
To rub it out just rub across toward the edge of the screen, though be warned that the screens are basically airlocked so you can't rub it completely out, you'll just be able to rub the air to a corner or where-ever you want it to stay out of the way.. All it is, is air.
Sending my 7801u back
