So I sent my baby in... Feels so lonely without it. I wrote a note that was atleast 3 pages long with all the problems/attempted fixes/ways to contact me for various reasons... My worst fear is them just sending it back with just installing the gateway OEM windows. I sware I better not get the same BSOD or Ill be so mad >_<. So todays May 4th, the lady on the phone said it takes 7-10 business days to get it back to me upon receiving the laptop, so ill shoot for 15th latest (doubt that will happen -_-.) but we'll see.

I got mine back pretty quick after sending them my computer with the slightly overheating HDD and chkdsk didn't work. They just replaced the HDD and reinstalled Windows. Funny thing is that my new HDD still overheats...

Got it delivered today. They replaced the HDD and the DVD drive, the former of which was causing BSODs and the latter which I mentioned in my 1 page note.

Everything seems to be running fine, no scratches on the screen, a few minor smudges on the glossy plastic surrounding the screen.

Only minor quibble is that I sent it in inside the original box with lots of crumpled paper + air bags and they send it back in a cardboard box surrounded by the two laptop foam holders. Luckily there was nothing else in the box when I sent it in.

Overall about 1.5-2wks turnaround. Responsive, and decent enough repairs.

I had to send mine in twice yet I still think this was an amazing deal and worth every penny and worth the wait.
