    My gateway laptop when plugged,light comes ,not turning on(no power)
    Under warranty,not registered.Called Gateway,they needed the SERIAL NUMBER.
    Serial number at the bottom got rubbed off,not registered,no power to laptop
    to access Serial no,under warranty.pl help

    The serial number of my model (P7805u) was also listed on the store receipt from Best Buy. Did you get a receipt?

    Amazon had P7805's? Were they refurbs and if so usually they have a limited warrenty as far as the time. There is no way for anyone here to help you, you need Your Serial Number. Maybe on the original box?......................
