    Shipping gateway P-173 to the UK

    Is this even possible? I have looked at dozens of sites selling the Gateway P-173XL FX, and none of them seem to give an international shipping option. I presume theres a good reason. What am I missing?

    The UK gateway site only has five M series laptops to choose from! Hardly an extensive range.

    I'm happy to pay a bit extra for the shipping, etc, I just want to know why none of the sites selling it are offering it outside of the US.

    I have a few ideas why:

    a) extra tax?
    b) no warranty outside of the US?
    c) high shipping cost/insurance?
    d) exclusive to the US for now as its brand new?

    looks like i can nearly answer my own question now, just found out that tigerdirect will post internationally for an extra $190. I would still like to know if there are any issues with doing this, as it says on their site "Please be aware that many products' warranties do not provide coverage outside the US, and some products may not be exported under any circumstances due to manufacturers' restrictions or US law."

    The prodcuct i'm after is the the Gateway P-173XL FX Edition Notebook.

    Anyone know if gateways year warrantry applies outside of the US aswell? or any other issues with buying this from the UK? I cant seem to find much info about this....

    The warranty doesn't apply outside USA BUT you still have an ability of a 24 Hours Online lifestime support ^^

    why not buy a refurbished 6860 from ebay, i reckon you will save loads of money.
