    just a quick question here, what sort of harddrive is compatiable with the 7811fx? i notice i have an empty slot and a full harddrive, so i figrured i'd get an extra one...so what kind do i need to get...any suggestions?

    stick with the momentus. they sell them cheap on newegg. no tax, free shipping. i bought 2 of the seagate momentus 7200.3 which are the 320 gb hardrives, or you can just buy another momenuts 7200.2 like the one you got.

    i bought the 2 320's so i could do a raid strip 0 and get one huge volume.

    Any 2.5in SATA hard drive is compatible with the 7811, as well any 2.5in SATA SSD.

    I added the 500gb Scorpio blue for my storage drive and am about to upgrade my system drive to the 500gb 7200.4 seagate momentus: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148374

    Personally, I wouldn't bother with RAID because the added heat in a laptop isn't worth the little to no performance increase other than in certain benchmarks.
