"Skin it" fit P-6860FX?

Just wondering if anyone that owns a P-6860FX has gotten a skin for it. Wondering whether it will fix properly or not...

 

I can't see a reason why you'd want to. It looks pretty hot without any help. This, of course, is just one mans opinion.

 

same here.love the painted "FX" on the lid.but dont like the "glossiness" of the paint though.attracts too much fingerprint. i might resort on using gloves when using my laptop.

 

Good lord you are right there! I wipe my lid down at least twice a day. I am an anti-fingerprint nazi!

 

I want something to cover up the gateway logo on my laptop as well. I don't want to be a walking billboard for gateway.

 

i don't get why people don't like the company logo on their product, like they should get paid for the advertisement.i mean if people liked the product you had, they would probably ask you who made it, logo or not.

if you don't like the gateway logo just slap some duct tape on it.

oh yeah, i think the lid looks great.

 

Wow... like i'm actually going to sport some ugly duct tape on my brand new laoptop, get real.

Anyway I DJ with my laptop and I'm in front of 100's of people at a time. I just got this product and I don't even know if Gateway is a good brand yet. Why would I want to endorse a product I'm not even familiar with. Actaully my sister had a really bad experience with a Gateway desktop so I really don't have the desire to give them that kind of extra free exposure. Also I am probably going to DJ at Burning Man at the end of the summer and they ask that you cover up all corperate logos at that event.

Isn't the fact that I want to choose what is on my laptop cover a good enough reason? I didn't mention money so I don't get why you are giving me attitude and making a ridiculous suggestion. Why did you post if you didn't have an answer to the question that was asked? Don't be a hater. Try to help. If you don't have a real answer keep your attitude to yourself.

Now dos anyone know how well the "skin it" covers fit on a 17 inch Gateway?

 

i didn't mean to have an attitude, i was just posting what i think, and usually people say they should get paid for the advertisement, i wasn't saying you wanted money for it.

as for the "skin it" i would assume it would stick on with an adhesive, sort of like the gears of war sticker next to the touchpad does.if you look in the faq it has info that might help out.
