I am getting a slight stutter in games - not framerate lag. When certain sounds play it will hang for just a second and then keep rolling. This happens in Call of Duty 4, CounterStrike Source, and Medal of Honor... really, just about any game I have played has it in one degree or another. What could this be - perhaps a driver issue? I have tried multiple video drivers, so I doubt that is the issue any more.

    Any tips would be appreciated.

Start going through the W7 video drivers. There are many out there. Keep trying one tell it stops.

Watch your temps, and check your processes to see if something spiking.

It is starting to look like it was a mouse issue. Before, I just plugged up my Razer Lachesis without any drivers. Now that the drivers are installed, it seems the stutter is gone - for now anyways.

I am also getting the same problem with you with win vista and 7 64bit. I send it for RMA and then it started to sutter at alllll games....
I will try your idea with the mouse and tell you. Was your problem completely gone after you did whatever you did?

I have this in the SC2 cinematics but at least in my case I think it is the processor being overloaded.
