    I just bought a Wrt600n wireless-n router, and I'm havin trouble getting a connection higher than 54mbps, so how do I get a better connection with out forcing wireless-n on the router itself.

    if you only using it for internet i don't see why would you need anything higher.
    anyway your notebook spec will be helpful.

    sorry, my notebook is the P-6860fx, and all the drivers are up to date. I transfer files between my pc (which is connected to the router through a wired connection) to my laptop (wireless), and playin games online.
