Ok here is the best way to describe whats going on and maybe someone can aide me in solving it. When I run games like Dungeon Seige or Hot Rod, and a few others they run slow... what i mean is for a few seconds the game runs normal then you can see it slow down like its in slow motion.... then it speeds up slows down etc... now my hard drive isnt going nuts at any point, and i have next to nothing for applications running. Im using the 5.8 cat drivers and X64... any ideas?

A lot of older games use the clock speed of the processor to keep pace; this was all well and good at the time, but now processors can change clock speeds dynamically. This is what's causing your speed issues.

Just set your power profile to "always on" and the processor will never down-clock.
