    So I just ordered a refurbed P-7805u for $750, what CPU should I upgrade to?

    Either will work perfectly in your new machine.

    The t9900 is the top end (running 3.06gHz) but the p9700 is also a great CPU due to the 25watt TDP and its 2,8gHz clock speeds.

    But your two choices will run great.

    I didn't know the T9900 was out and I didn't know there was a P9700. I'll have to look into those and do some price comparisons...

    $400 for 2.8GHz and 25w sounds like as winner.

    If you have the money then p9700 is the way to go, these "P" processors are neat, they dont get hot and they deliver a superb performance!.

    well honestly, if you really need it i would say upgrade to the P9700. I never need more processor speed and i play all of the new games, but i suppose thats just me.

    Yeah thats a really good price for a p9700. That CPU runs almost 1/2 the watts my x9000 does at stock. Pretty good deal if you ask me

    Its all about the speed baby! :p
