Ebay link: New Intel CORE2 X9100 QHBQ Super low Temp! - eBay (item 260756973950 end time Apr-21-11 07:30:57 PDT)

And got a CPU with the following info on it (I'm at work, no cam right now):

    5822B487 ES
    AW80576 QHBQ.

When I looked it up online I got this:
    Intel Core 2 Duo E8435 processor - FF80576GH0836M / AW80576GH0836M / AW80576GH0836ML

    An E8435 CPU.

So, doing a little more research I saw that they are comparable. But the reason I wanted the x9100 was to OC it. The CPU is an ES version.

So what's the deal? Did I get what I ordered, or got complete smoke?

An E8435 is not a x9100... even if they are "comparable".

Contact the seller and explain the problem. If the seller has any want/need for positive feedback or wants to be a "good" seller, they'll correct the issue.

With luck you paid via PayPal as well so if things go south you should at least be able to get your money back.

I did pay paypal, that's how Ebay works luckily. Well, usually anyways. Regardless, that's what I thought, it seemed very fishy when I looked at the thing.

this is an ES CPU, just like my Q9200. These are not all what they are originally intented to be. The q9200 , if it were ever released, was not intened as an extreme CPU but the version I have is. I say plug it in and see what it comes up as.................

So my CPU Performance in Windows 7 Pro Experience Index went from 5.9 to 6.6, so did my RAM which I was complaining about earlier. Only did that's still 5.9 is my Hard Drive :( It's Raid 0. I suppose a sexy SSD is in order now to fully beast mode this baby.
