    .. I want to hook my PS3 up to my P-7811FX and use the LCD screen.. is it possible?

    yes, it is possible, the only way i know of is to get a tv tuner that can accept the inputs that you want to use "WinTV-HVR-950" <-- that accepts av cables (white,red,yellow)

    From what i read on a recent thread about using a notebook for xbox 360 monitor, it is possible but there will be a 2 second lag or so between anything the system does and what it displays... not sure but that's what i got out of it... don't know if the ps3 is any different either.

    I don't have a PS3 so I don't know if that would work. However, I do have a PS2 and a USB TV tuner. Hooking them up together on an S-Video connection worked perfectly fine with no delay. For a PS3 I'd be more concerned about picture quality. I don't think S-Video would be up to par.
