Hello,
I had a couple questions regarding playing video files and using HDMI out.
I'm using a Gateway M-6864FX and I've been using the HDMI out to my 720p lcd tv. It seems to play low quality things fine, but when I try to play things with higher resolutions that have a lot of movement it tends to get jerky. I was running WoW w/ it and every time I moved the camera it seemed like there was severe shearing on the TV. It looks fine on the laptop screen though.
I also have some HD vids in .trp format from my dvr box and the laptop itself has some problems (think they're 1080i, but not positive). I loaded up a few files from onto my laptop's hdd and managed to get the .trp files to play in media player classic, but then for some reason when it plays I get this weird thing where once in a while there are like horizontal lines kind of ghosting. It's hard to explain exactly, but it's kind of like parts of the image degrade into horizontal lines. Sometimes the video stops playing too but the audio keeps going. I don't know if this is a laptop problem or a codec/player issue, but thought I'd ask. I'm using ffdshow btw.
Any help is greatly appreciated![]()
