I did a fresh install of Vista on my 7811. But for some reason when I plug in my earphones, I can still hear the speakers. The laptop doesn't automatically switch over to earphone usage. Is there a fix for this? It's a pain having to set the sound properties every time.

if you have bios 9c.12.00 on your 7811 that is the problem. Search the forum for more detail.

Nope, happens with 9c.08.00 as well. Theres been other threads about this, I started one myself. From what I've seen, there's been no answer as to how to fix it but a lot of peopel have the same problem.
