This may belong in the Windows section but I thought I would ask if anyone with the P-6831fx has IE7 just randomly stop working? About 5 times a day while I'm on the internet my page grays out and a box pops up that says Interet Explorer has stopped responding and it gives me the option to restart the program. If I restart it everything works fine but its annoying to say the least. A couple of times I minimized the window instead of restarting and saw an error on my desktop thats says superfetch has stopped working. But before I can do anything about it, the error message will disappear.
I find this strange because I have been using IE7 and Vista on my other laptop for over a year now and have never seen this message or had IE7 crash. My computer has every update installed and it was occuring before I installed SP1 so I'm at a loss as to why its occuring.
I did some investigating on google and read that if I deleted everything in the prefetch folder that it should clear the problem up assuming I did it peroidically (before the folder had too much crap in it). I did that a week ago but the problem is still occuring. Also I thought I read that in SP1 they were supposed to address an issuse similar to this.
Thanks in advance for any light shed on this subject because although my computer runs fine this is annoying the hell out of me.

I reported and checked for solutions but it found nothing for me. -
There is a fix to your problem with IE7, in fact, it can have many names, here are just a few of them:
Opera
Firefox
Safari
-
Dude, just use Firefox <--- Less headaches

I used Firefox on my XP desktop for a long time, when Vista first came out I installed Firefox on my laptop and had nothing but problems. I know it was a compatibilty problem that was fixed within days (had something to do with favorites-if you look at my old posts I'm sure its still here somewhere) but since then I have read about other problems such as memory leakage. On that same vista laptop after dithcing Firefox I tried both Safari and Opera and didn't like either one. They didnt have any problems per say just didn't like them as much IE7. If this keeps happening I will probably go back to Opera since it was the lesser of 4 evils.
