Hey guys, I am using my 6860 to play the Supreme Commander demo all on high with the native resolution. I've installed the 177.41 drivers for the 8800 that are suggested in the driver update guide by Animal.
When I first loaded the game it worked flawlessly. Well, actually the first skirmish I played the game shutdown automatically and windows tried to generate an error report. After that I had 3-4 solid games which lasted over an hour with the computer. At the end, I just exited and everything was peachy.
Now though, when I start a game, I'll build maybe two things, and the game will freeze completely. Just sit there with a typical frozen screen, no mouse, no movement. When I press control alt del I can bring up the task manager and end process the game, so the computer is working fine.
Does this seem like an issue with these custom drivers (CoH works, Crysis, WoW, D2, AoE III - so I kind of doubt it) or is this something I need to ask on the supreme commander forums. I love the game, but I don't want to go buy it if its not going to work on my computer.
Thanks for any help!

Actually, I just played a campaign to test it and it worked fine. So it must be some issue in the demo that hopefully they've patched in the existing game. I'll look into it more.

Go figure. -
I get occasional freezes for Sup Com as well. That's for the campaign.
Sometimes they go away, sometimes it exits the game.
