I have a Gateway T1616 with a fresh install of Vista 64 bit. 4 GB of OCZ 800 memory. It really fly's now!! I have 2 issues left with drivers. My microphone won't record any sound under gateway web camera (like to record a video), but it works under skype. Also if I try to put the laptop to sleep, when it wakes up I lose my sound just scratchy noises. I am assuming I do not have the correct 64 bit sound drivers for the T-1616.

    Anybody got this working?????

2 questions what Chicony driver do I need? and what is the correct sound driver?

Ok I fixed the webcam & microphone. Found it in a vista forum comment:

Here’s how to get it done:
    Open an elevated command prompt
type “bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS” without the quotes (and no the DD is not a typo).
Reboot and enjoy being able to use unsigned drivers in Vista x64.
Remember who told you about this first ;). not me!!

    Then load IDT sigmatel software...

Now can someone still help me fix scratchy sound when it comes out of sleep? says my wireless is not connected but I can still get online funky?

    Any ideas??????????
